‘Home Tree’ is a celebration of my local eucalyptus tree. I painted slowly and intentionally, each brushstroke seeking to reveal the hidden colours in the trunk and their relationship with the soft winter light. Using dappled brushwork and texture, I present subtle variations in colour to show how the whole scene, much like in nature, interacts to create something equally unique and unified.

*Important note: The painting is presented in a vintage frame. The frame has some imperfections / cosmetic wear from its previous life (see last couple of images).
